Critical Voices: A Conversation about the Crisis in Venezuela with Eva Golinger

| FreeEva Golinger (CUNY Law alumna, class of ’04) is an attorney specializing in international human rights and immigration law based in New York. She lived in Venezuela for over a decade and counseled several Presidents, Foreign Ministers, and senior officials in Latin America and was a long-term Advisor to former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez for nearly a decade.
Golinger’s newest book, Confidante of ‘Tyrants’ (2018), is a memoir of her time in Venezuela in former President Hugo Chavez’s inner circle. She also authored The Chavez Code, which was based on extensive research using Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to declassify CIA and other US government documents on Washington’s role in the 2002 coup d’etat against Hugo Chavez.
