Judge Rosemary Barkett chatted with students
Through lectures, seminars, public events, and intimate meetings, the Center’s world-renowned Scholars-in-Residence share their wealth of knowledge and experience with CUNY Law students and members of the greater community.
The Center’s Scholars participate in public conversations with other prominent legal figures to discuss the law and its impact on the world. They inspire students with their personal stories as trailblazers in the legal field. Their discussions explore specific issues as well as the functions and efficacy of existing legal structures. Discussion attendees are provided opportunities to ask questions and engage in more intimate conversations with Scholars and other speakers.

Scholars share their stories and career paths with students and faculty to show their trajectory and highlight how their lives have contributed to the impact they have been able to make as legal scholars. They often meet with students informally to discuss the student’s interests and passions and offer direction and advice on how they can achieve their goals and fight for human rights.
